Spanish Chef Arrested for Murder and Dismemberment in Thailand
Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, 29, Indicted in October
Victim Identified as 44-Year-Old Colombian Surgeon Edwin Arrieta Arteaga
Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, 29, the son of Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho, has been arrested in Thailand on suspicion of murdering and dismembering a 44-year-old Colombian surgeon, Edwin Arrieta Arteaga. Bronchalo, a chef, has confessed to the crime and appeared in court on Monday. The remains of Arteaga were found stuffed in a suitcase.
Bronchalo was indicted by prosecutors in October over the death of Arteaga. The motive for the murder is still under investigation. The Spanish embassy in Bangkok is providing assistance to Bronchalo.
