Kian Fitz-Jim will return to Ajax with immediate effect, the club has confirmed.
The midfielder joined Excelsior on loan for one season this summer, but his loan has been cut short.
Fitz-Jim has made 19 appearances for Excelsior this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Ajax are currently top of the Eredivisie table, and Fitz-Jim will be hoping to help them win their first league title since 2014.
